FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What are Chocoleyna Chocolates made of?

---> Chocoleyna Chocolates are made of premium local chocolates meticulously selected and melted to guarantee the best quality  chocolates that we have to offer at the lowest price possible. Aside from that, we also mix in other ingredients such as: rice crispies, nuts, or raisins (nuts and raisins coming soon) to help neutralize or buffer the sweetness (if we use sweetened chocolates).

---> We have two main suppliers of chocolates - one in Visayas and the other one in Mindanao. They provide us with all the supplies we need in order to give you, our beloved customers, the delicious and affordable chocolates that you all crave!

2. Do you melt branded chocolates?

---> No. We only use Premium Local Chocolates made in our country. Proudly Pinoy ni bai!

3. Do you ship your chocolates outside General Santos City?

---> As for the moment, we do not ship our products outside GenSan since we still don't know whether the chocolates can withstand extreme temperatures during shipment by local couriers. We are trying our best to do tests in order to give positive results and will update you as soon as possible. However, we do meet-ups at certain places in GenSan such as at the Robinson's Place.

---> Or if at a certain coincidence that we have a transaction in other Cities such as Davao, then we will be happy to meet up with you somewhere specifically at a mall.

4. How long will your chocolates last or what is its shelf life?

---> It is safe for us to say that the chocolates will last up to a month or more. Although, with proper storage and handling, studies revealed that chocolates can last up to 6-12 months!

5. How can we store the chocolates?

---> Good question. The chocolates should be stored at room temperature. We DON'T recommend you place them inside the refrigerator because it will only aid in accumulating in moisture; thus, destroying the design and will result in cracks. You may place them inside sealed containers and positioned away from direct sunlight. However, if you really want to put them inside the fridge then you may do so.

6. How can we pay?

---> Once you've sent your orders through text, e-mail, or personal meeting we will notify you through text if the color you want is still available and also the amount that you'll be paying.

---> All clients are advised to make an initial down-payment (50%) since our chocolates are (MTO's) Made-To-Order. Initial payments can be made in person or through Cebuana Kwarta Padala or LBC Pera Padala (details to be given thru text or e-mail once order is verified). Inform us through text if payments have been made.

---> Your orders will be listed for production once the initial down payment has been confirmed.

---> The remaining BALANCE should be paid upon pick-up of goods or during meet-ups. Although, you can pay in FULL beforehand, whichever is most convenient for you.

Why Chocoleyna? ☺

Why Chocoleyna you ask? :) Well my friend, that's quite an easy question. So here goes nothing:

After graduating from college (BSN March 2010) I was stuck in a deep ponder on what to do with my life (before finally venturing into Med School, that is), so I said to myself, "I should sell something!", and boy did plenty of things running through my mind at that time and I thought to myself, "Everybody loves a good chocolate!" That's it! It's a start I would be selling chocolates! I was very ecstatic to make my own money, to break free from the shadow of my financers (my parents ;D haha) but I realized soon enough that it was not very easy. Alas, I have no money of my own. I let this disappointment pass and started a plan - I would save my allowance during my board exam review so I could buy a few raw materials. And like a little girl hoping to buy that next new edition of barbie doll, I did save a lot! :)

I now have the raw materials and the great will to do it, but sadly there was no time. I had to study for the board exams or else I'll fail miserably.. And so my "dream of selling chocolates" postponed until the Final Judgment day would come (and it did and I survived it thank God!).

A great opportunity came when I went back to my hometown last July 7, 2010. My Niece, Eyna, would have her baptismal party and it surely was fast approaching! (A light bulb on top of my head) I thought, "this would be a great chance to show people what I can do!" And soon after that production started like crazy! Thanks to my loved ones for all their help in production and advertising, Chocoleyna is still a growing business making scrumptious chocolates that people in General Santos continuously love today!♥
